Abstract:
Many techniques used in agile are designed to reduce waste and improve effectiveness. While this works for most aspects of software development, when trying to create an innovative design it is necessary to re-introduce the waste: great products are born through a multiplication of ideas and then are rationalized into a handful of options to try. This session will use a case study as a framework to introduce the participants to the Design Thinking concepts and, through their practical application, it will show how this approach is useful when designing great products.

Developers, product managers and, more in general, people interested in using brainstorming techniques to develop better products.
Objective(s) of the session:
- Introduce the participants to the concept of Design Thinking
- Introduce the participants to some brainstorming techniques
- Provide the participants with some useful tools to apply in their daily job
Benefits for participants and presenter(s):
The participants will see and try some brainstorming techniques, all framed into the bigger picture of Design Thinking.
The presenters will have the possibility of confronting their ideas and experiences with the participants.
